Earth Celebration 2021—Harbour Concerts

[VIDEO: “How to Buy Tickets/Watch EC on ZAIKO” can be found at the bottom of this page]

Every year since 1988, the rich natural splendour of Sado has set the stage for arts and culture festival Earth Celebration (EC). Hosted by world-renowned taiko ensemble Kodo and its home, Sado Island, EC seeks an alternative global culture through musical and cultural collaborations with artists and festivalgoers from around the world. The result is three days of exciting performances featuring Kodo and special guests, unique opportunities to enjoy the culture, nature, and tastes of Sado, and much more.
Earth Celebration 2021 has adopted a shorter two-day format and will be held on Aug. 21 (Sat) through 22 (Sun). There will be online concerts each day here on ZAIKO for people to enjoy from their corner of the globe.
Join Kodo and this year’s guest artists on Sado Island virtually for this year’s main stage Harbour Concerts!

*These concerts were originally advertised as hybrid, but were changed to online only due to the pandemic situation in Japan. See the Aug. 6 update on the Earth Celebration website for details.

The Harbour Concerts will begin at 17:00 JST (Japan Standard Time) on Aug. 21 (Sat) and Aug. 22 (Sun), however we will be live streaming some bonus content before and after each concert.
Please check the details below so you don’t miss out!

◉ Pre-Concert Bonus Content
We will start the live streaming at 16:00 JST (Japan Standard Time)
