QUE DJ

QUE DJ, also known as Thobani Quinton Mgobhozi, is a self-taught Gqom DJ and producer who has contributed significantly to the evolution of the genre. Together with Goldmax, he formed the multi- award-winning Gqom duo "Distruction Boyz," which achieved gold status with their first album and released hits such as "Wololo," featured in the Black Panther movie. QUE DJ has also introduced sub- genres of Gqom, including UMKHUNKULU, and created his own record label, Amagogogo Sounds, dedicated to uplifting and shining a light on Gqom producers and artists. In addition to his contributions to the music industry, QUE DJ has also showcased his musical expertise within the fashion industry, creating the musical score for RICH MNISI's FW22 fashion film titled "The First Working Man" and collaborating with the brand ADIDAS. QUE DJ continues to set the stage ablaze during his sets and is preparing to release his debut album early next year, as well as new music and a music video for the hit song "Where's Your Father" with fellow Gqom pioneer DJ Lag.
