Vinyl Youth

Vinyl Youth is a four-member DJ crew based in Tokyo, with all four members born in 1999. Coming from different musical backgrounds and tastes, they explore music beyond genre boundaries, with vinyl at the core of their practice. Their sound moves freely across house, techno, disco, dub, balearic, cosmic, experimental, rave, and beyond. They are not a generation that experienced the scenes of the past in real time. Yet, through their own perspective, they naturally carry forward the club culture, record culture, and spirit of freedom that previous generations built. Rather than simply recreating the past, Vinyl Youth takes what they have inherited and connects it to the present-day Tokyo, offering it through a new perspective. With each member's individuality intersecting, their sets unfold through unpredictable selections and a strong focus on the physical experience of the dancefloor. They see the club as a space for experimentation, where music, people, and energy can constantly collide and evolve.
