Rio Kawamoto

Born in Yokohama, Japan. Started DJing around 2007. After working in a variety of genres, he became devoted to dance music, mainly Techno and House music. In May 2015, he released his first EP "Lemmings EP" from Sakadat Record in London. He has since released works mainly on European labels in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Russia. As a DJ, he not only DJs and makes parties in Tokyo, but also performs at Elevator Club and 44KW in Shanghai, Korea, Taipei and at Epizode Festival in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. In 2020, he also released a 12-inch EP " Chabu " from Teffebu, which is run by buffete, a notable Mexican collective. He is currently active in the Tokyo underground scene as a member of Tokyo-based DJ Crew, “COWBOY FAMILY”. Additionally, he participated in the first V.A. release of COWBOY FAMILY RECORDS, which started in 2024.
