Chloe Kibble

Eluding the confines of any one style, genre, or geographical border, Chloe Kibble is an artist embracing her love for the macrocosm of Black music as she shares her craft between the U.S. and Tokyo. Originally from Nashville, TN, Chloe grew up in a gospel and jazz-filled household, her father a founding member of multi-Grammy award winning acapella group Take6. Besides her gospel roots, she also sites sonic inspiration from Esperanza Spalding, Brandy, and Imogen Heap; combining into a sound described as warm, soulful, and angelic. Chloe began her music career at university with a jazz/hip-hop fusion band, performing in and around the U.S. Northeast. Upon moving to Japan in 2019, Chloe struck the underground jazz scene and joined the band PAJAUMI (パジャマで海なんか行かない), a neo-soul collective celebrating transcontinental musical solidarity. Chloe centers her Black and queer identities in her music, and is excited to keep her sound expansive--hoping to leave her listeners feeling seen, their souls soothed, and their wanderlust activated.
