After working at a used record store "raregroove" in Osaka for about 2 years, she joined "newtone records" also in Osaka upon graduation from university in 2018, and has been a record buyer until now. With her deep background in various music genres, her DJ set is ever-expanding. In 2022, Akie released a mixtape on the "do you have peace?" label in Bristol.
