The Hilt

The Hilt is a Hip-Hop group based in Tokyo, Japan, with members highly skilled in rap, singing and producing. There are 7 members in The Hilt, all with various styles, named A.Valley, MJ the Sensei, Monsieur Jovoni, Kraftykid, Neku, J the Protagonist and J.Rovia. Members hail from the US, UK, JP and West Africa. The group debuted in September 2020 with back to back live shows in Harajuku and Aoyama, generating crowds of more than 200 people total for their first shows. Since 2021, each member expanded their individual catalog of music, releasing 8 projects total, accumulating more than 60 songs released from all group members. Members collaborated and released tracks with Japan based artists such as SEEDA, ralph, Maya Hatch, Ume, MeS the Funk, S-Kaine, Chloe Kibble, DAN, Mayowa, G-Rillah, MC Boodah, つ”ちゃん, and more. Members have been featured on and by Spincoaster, fnmnl, Neet Tokyo, Youは何しに日本へ, Tokyo Weekender, Hypebeast, Eyescream, Privilege, Lafayette, as well as various Spotify playlists globally such as Chill Select, Rap Radar, and more.
