Knopha

Since starting his journey in 2015, Knopha has gradually found a place in the Chinese dance music scene, becoming a regular at clubs such as Zhaodai (Beijing), Elevator (Shanghai), Oil (Shenzhen) and 宀 Mihn (Hong Kong). With a passion for connecting with like-minded music enthusiasts, Knopha co-founded BAIHUI (https://baihui.live) in June 2020, a community radio station that shines a spotlight on musicians and DJs from the local Chinese independent musicscene. In 2023, he began a residency at Shanghai’s boutique club Heim and runs a unique monthly night called Oranda, which aims to showcase talents from around the Asian region. As a contemporary producer in today’s electronic music scene, Knopha enjoys exploring and learning from the vast landscape of music. His catalogue includes a variety of styles, from R&B-fused jungle and breezy downtempo to ethnic percussive techno and dubby broken deep house. He prefers not to settle on any particular genre, always aiming to sound different from his last output.
