Rie Takeuchi

Rie Takeuchi / Sax Born in Tokyo, Japan. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. Won 1st prize in the saxophone category of the Singapore Woodwind Festival 2014 Competition. Utilising on her skills developed in classical music, she has been active in a variety of genres and forms of expressions. In recent years, she has participated in the Travel Musica 2019 Project in Cologne, performed in plays and musicals as a multi-reed player, and has done studio work for video productions such as dramas, commercials, and movies. In addition, she has has also been involved in a wide range of activities such as participating in "galajapolymo," "Okubo Kei To Kenchiku," "Palastleben," "PANTA et L’AIGLE NOIR," etc., and coaching performance for stage productions. "MUSIC for ISOLATION Volume II, " the second album of the bass duo project "MUSIC for ISOLATION" with Tuba player Gideon Jukes, is now on sale.
